The Enquiry

The force approached MC Products and asked if we able to produce a bag to hold a Ballistic helmet.

  • It had to be designed to securely fit their specific helmet.
  • Good quality abrasion resistant material which would also protect the helmet from damage.
  • Easy and quick access to the helmet within.
  • To have strap solutions for carrying.
  • The force also required extra strapping to be able to fasten this to rear of front seats, but also to be able to fit under the front seats of their vehicle.

They had a requirement for 100 bags, which would be ideal for our UK Production facility in Kirkby to produce.

The Project

Our business development manager obtained an out of commission sample of the helmet from the force and briefed our designer. He developed a bespoke ballistic helmet bag with the features that the force had specified:

  • The fabric was made out of 1000D nylon with extra padding
  • There was secure access with clip and hook and loop at the front of the bag, with 2 zip fastenings at each side of the bag to give quick access
  • Inside the bag there is an adjustable strap system secured by hook and loop to keep the helmet in place.
  • There are also 2 handy inner zip mesh compartments for storage.
  • It features a handy carry handle
  • It also had an adjustable strap which allows it to be fitted to the rear of a car seat.

The Result

After discussions and sampling in conjunction with the force, we received an order for 100 Ballistic helmet bags. These were manufactured at our factory in Kirkby and delivered into the customer in November 2025. We are also set up on this bag to do smaller top up runs of 50 which fits in with our UK factory set up.

The success of this bespoke project established MC Products as a trusted long-term partner with the force for both manufacturing and future sourcing needs.
